Dr. David Proudfoot is a Senior Research Fellow, and instructional leader at the University of Phoenix. He has led the communications and positioning strategy for the Research and Scholarship Enterprise, its various research and scholarship segments, faculty development products and student growth initiatives such as the Dissertation to Publication Workshop, developed by Dr. Mansureh Kebritchi which has enabled over 600 faculty and alumni to publish their research in an academic journal. the University of Phoenix launched the first-ever online research conference, the Knowledge Without Boundaries Research Summit, with 800 participants and over 100 online assemblies from plenary sessions to workshops to informal social events. Dr. Proudfoot has served as a Senior Research Fellow for the Center for Educational and Instructional Technology Research for several years which has enabled him to model and cultivate the foundational understanding of the standards, requirements, ethics, and support systems to do research successfully. His expertise and research spans the areas of student-centered learning, improving the quality of teaching and learning, and sharing the science of children’s learning with the general public to increase family engagement.
